Tutorial Recording Notes:

Disclaimer: these are the actual notes I used to record this video and are written in a language you may or may not understand. Hopefully, you find them useful or cool.

  1. Create text “Wildfire” with Futura PT set to heavy and sized up to like 150, center aligned
  2. Show how to center it up in the frame
  3. Stretch text to one second long and duplicate it up to new track
  4. Start slicing and dicing and adding Wave Warp effects to build the glitch a few frames at a time
  5. NOTE: Primary glitch effects should be on the lower track so when we color it looks like the fringe glitch color effect
  6. Use the Color Balance (RGB) effect to add color to the pieces of the glitch and work your way across the effect
  7. Bump both glitch texts up one track and start duplicating piece of glitched text down on this track and scale up or down and then set to Screen or Dissolve and reduce opacity to give the effect more depth
  8. Tweak the text as needed
  9. Show the free glitch sounder and drag that under the glitch
  10. Cut out the piece you want and put it in place and then chop this up to give it abrupt stops and a glitchy feel as well
  11. Fade the last glitch sound as the effect finishes to complete the effect
