Disclaimer: these are the actual notes I used to record this video and are written in a language you may or may not understand. Hopefully, you find them useful or cool.
- Show the tool first. Then show the kotkeys.
- Show to ultra simple two-clip ripple delete.
- Locking down other tracks TIP
- Hold Cmd/Ctrl over any cut to reveal the ripple trim tool.
- Cmd + click cut & Alt/Opt left/right arrow key to ripple/roll individual frames in either direction
- Hit the letter “W” to ripple trim from the playhead point to the end of that clip (Keyboard shortcuts “Ripple Trim Next Edit to Playhead”)
- Show a basic ripple delete between two clips further down the timeline from the “90s ad” and show the ripple delete hotkeys as well.
- Next show how I would lock up the tracks that I don’t want rippled
- Target areas that need to be lined up with music a little and ripple delete in/out
- Trim, adjust, and roll edit cuts as needed to create the ad
