- Spot Healing Brush (work on model photo)
- Content-Aware Healing vs. Proximity Match
- Proximity Match
- Uses pixels around the edge of the selection to find an area to use as a patch.
- Create Texture
- Uses pixels in the selection to create a texture. If the texture doesn’t work, try dragging through the area a second time.
- Content-Aware
- Compares nearby image content to seamlessly fill the selection, realistically maintaining key details such as shadows and object edge
- Healing on a new layer
- Healing Brush (remove antenna from top of stadium to show alignment and diffusion, get rid of trash in other PSU photo and show rotate clone around top of window, get rid of little sign near path and show how to work with hard edges and the healing brush,
- Alignment allows the sample point to move as you brush and heal the image.
- Diffusion Setting (this controls how fast the healed bits “fade” into the surrounding image. Choose a lower number when working with details, graininess, and sharp edges, use a larger number when dealing with areas that can use a little more smoothing or blur.)
- Ignore Adjustment Layers icon option
- Clone Panel and rotating the clone brush tip
- Replace mode (Replace to preserve noise, grain, and texture at the edge of the brush stroke even when you’re using a soft‑edged brush.) I use this mostly for getting rid of flyaway hairs.
- Preferences>Tools>Use Legacy Healing for “old” style healing brush functionality (takes you back to the Photoshop CC 2014 Healing Brush)
