We, Geeks Podcast Ep. 15 – $100,000 Instagram Photos and the Death of Photoshop Touch

We Geeks |

Is there a future of Photoshop on mobile devices? How can an artist who takes people’s work and re-purposes it into “his own work” be able to sell it for upwards of $100,000–without sharing this with the person who created the original artwork? We talk about a new browser that could take on Google Chrome, Apple controlling devices around the home, Spotify and video delivery, and the death of Photoshop Touch and the future of Photoshop on mobile devices.

We, Geeks Podcast Ep. 11 – Ten Steps to Becoming a Better Designer

We Geeks |

For the eleventh episode of the We, Geeks podcast, Howard and I spend almost an hour and a half talking about how YOU can make yourself a better designer. Get better clients, get paid more, be happier with your work, and more. Follow these ten steps and you are virtually guaranteed success (hint: it’s not easy and it requires a lot of work). We start by talking about being more creative in general, I share a story about photographing a bomb squad, and we both complain about designers who complain too much.

We, Geeks Podcast Ep. 10 – Hillary Clinton’s Logo, The Canon 5D MK IV, and iPhone Cameras

We Geeks |

This week Howard and I spend some quality time talking about the important things this presidential election cycle, like Hillary Clinton’s abysmal logo. Yes, it’s terrible. We also touch on the upcoming and much anticipated Canon 5D MK IV DSLR camera and where we see a potentially game-changing 4k DSLR taking things. Apple just purchased a company that should make the new iPhone cameras incredible, these two cinematographers made an amazing black and white film of street life in New York City, a guy shaved half his beard and glued stuff to his face and photographed himself, and a lion almost ate a photographer. We also learn just how little I know about Star Wars with the announcement of the latest Star Wars and release of another film trailer.
