Man Robs Bank, Shares Instagram Photo and Videos of Himself Doing So<
This one pretty much speaks for itself. Dominyk Alfonseca, who committed the robbery claims he “didn’t do it for the money”, but instead because he knew the Instagram photo would get a lot of attention. He also claims that what he did was not really a crime because he simply asked the teller kindly for the money and she gave it to him. He is currently in prison awaiting trial. Wedding Photographer Calls Client ‘Ugliest Bride’ and ‘Bridezilla’

Wedding Photographer Calls Client ‘Ugliest Bride’ and ‘Bridezilla’
Occasionally you see a story hit the wire that literally makes you stop and hang your head. A photographer from Australia has found himself in some hot water after posting a photo of the newly married couple on their Facebook page with comments that she was the “ugliest” he had ever photographed and the #1 Bridezilla. The photographer, Lee Maxwell Judd Photography, quickly responded by saying that their page was hacked. The bride did post a status update on Facebook explaining some of what has happened since the wedding and the difficulty she has had with this photographer and also mentions that he asked her to pose for a lingerie underwear shoot just days before her wedding without prior warning. This is why you must find a good wedding photographer who you can trust. Everything disappears from a wedding celebration except for the photos and memories.

Popular Android Camera App Camera51 Hits iOS to Help You Frame Pleasing Shots
The camera app that has been downloaded more than one million times by Android is coming to iOS. Camera51 is an app that launched for the Android about 7 months ago and quickly ascended the charts as a top photography app. This camera app is the first that I’ve seen which transforms your camera into a “smart” camera with things like their “aim-box” to show you how to adjust your phone to get a much better composition on that photograph, or even auto-selfies, and an alert when something moves into the shot that seems to be interfering with the photo you are about to take. This Restaurant Made Special Plates for Smartphone Food Photos
A restaurant in Israel has stirred up some buzz after they launched a “meal experience” which features newly designed plates specifically designed to help you shoot amazing photos of your food with your phone. From a plate that has a slot to hold your phone while it takes a photo AND forms a backdrop behind your food, to a plate that holds your smartphone on one end with a rotating plate on the other end, there is no shortage of potential for this idea if you’re really into taking photos of your food. The “Foodography experience costs a whopping $155 hour and will be offered through June 2015.

Nintendo’s First Smartphone Game Due This Year, 5 Planned by March 2017

Nintendo’s president, Satoru Iwata provided details regarding the plans of future releases of games via their mobile gaming partner, DeNA in a financial results briefing that was posted just today. They plan on releasing their first game in the lineup “by the end of this calendar year” with a longer term plan of releasing five total games by the end of 2017. They say that “You may think it is a small number, but when we aim to make each title a hit, and because we want to thoroughly operate every one of them for a significant amount of time after their releases, this is not a small number at all and should demonstrate our serious commitment to the smart device business.” While this is good news, does this just ensure that Nintendo will not be releasing the entirety of Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda, or Animal Crossing? Nintendo does say they intend to continue expanding into this business more to launch Nintendo games to a growing global market.

The best Selfie App, SelfieX

SelfieX is one of the coolest new apps that I’ve seen for the smartphone. You have the choice between the low quality, front-facing camera which you can properly compose for your self portraits, or you can flip the phone over and shoot with the big, bold, beautiful camera on the rear of your phone and guess where your face should go. Guess no more with the SelfieX app which allows you to select an area of the screen where you would like your face to end up and it will provide you with directions to adjust your phone and then take the photo when your face is in the correct place. It is available for iOS and Android devices.
