This tutorial is the basics of Actionscript 2.0. If you are using Flash CS3 or newer you are using Actionscript 3.0 (this is the new default). You can however switch back by checking out your Properties panel and setting the Actionscript type to Actionscript 2.0.

Thank you for your time putting this tutorial together. I just took an ActionScript 2.0 compare with 1.0. I would like to get familiar with it. My problem is that I have no video, but I do have sound on Actionscript 2.0 Basics – Flash Tutorial. I installed QuickTime and About QuickTime Plug-in renders version 7.7.3. The facebook tutorial is okay, but is very hard to see some of your actions because of the poor video quality, no offence. Please advise on a course of action. Maybe you can check it out to ensure the video is functioning.
